Booking & Payments

How do I book?

You can book directly through the website, or message us on WhatsApp and we'll help you put together exactly what your trip needs — stay, surf, transport, and more.

What's the cancellation policy?

For Surf Camp Guayacán, a 30% deposit is required to reserve, and it's non-refundable — but your dates can always be rescheduled. For individual services (stay, lessons, transfers), message us directly and we'll work it out based on your situation.

Do you accept cards, or only cash?

We accept payments through the website (cards) and can also arrange other payment methods via WhatsApp for local bookings.

Getting Here

Which airport should I fly into?

Huatulco (HUX) is the closest and most convenient, about a 45-minute transfer. Puerto Escondido (PXM) and Oaxaca City are also options if you find better flight deals — we offer transfers from all three.

Do I need a car in Barra de la Cruz?

Not really — the village is small and walkable, and both of our stays are about 15 minutes on foot from the beach. If you want more freedom to explore, we offer scooter rentals with a surfboard rack.

Surf & Safety

I've never surfed before — can I still book a lesson?

Absolutely. Our instructors work with every level, from total beginners to people fine-tuning advanced technique. Group and private lessons are both available.

What if the waves or weather aren't good on my scheduled day?

All surf experiences are weather and swell dependent. If conditions aren't safe, we reschedule at no extra cost — your safety comes first.

What should I bring?

Reef-safe sunscreen, a rashguard if you have one (we provide one for lessons), a reusable water bottle, and a light jacket for cooler evenings. We provide boards, safety gear, and local know-how.

Staying With Us

Is there Wi-Fi?

Yes — both Guayacán Surf House and Big House OP have high-speed Starlink Wi-Fi, so you can work remotely or stay connected without issues.

Can I cook my own meals?

Yes, both stays have a fully equipped kitchen. If you'd rather not cook, our Surf Camp Guayacán package includes daily meals, and there are restaurants and pizzerias nearby.
